I’m trying something a bit different on the blog this month. I’m taking part in an April A-Z Challenge!
Rather than MAKE an entirely new thing every day, I’m going to showcase a different Magnet every day. Plus, to make sure I really nail it, I’ll provide a bit of trivia about each character!
Today is the letter U
So, there’s this fairly popular game called Final Fantasy 3. Or maybe it’s 6? Or III? Or VI? Well, depending on how old you are and when you first heard of it, any of those could be true. Final Fantasy VI had a… strange situation, and one strange character in it was Umaro!
Umaro is a… Sasquatch? Bigfoot? Yeti? Doesn’t matter. The point is, he lives high in the mountains, is very elusive, likes Mog, and is completely and utterly missable. You don’t need to get him to finish the game, and if you don’t help Mog, you CAN’T recruit him. Once you do, he is a physical powerhouse, who you can’t actually command. He just attacks. And attacks. And attacks. And that’s pretty much it. This may be an asset or a liability, depending on how you play. Me, I like 100% completion, so I recruit him, even though it means giving up a Golden Hairpin to save Mog.
Fun Fact: Final Fantasy VI is one of my favourite video games of all time, and in my opinion, MUCH better than Final Fantasy VII.
